Digital Government Authority Start Applying Governance on Existing Digital Platforms, Websites, Suspend 100 Domains

The Digital Government Authority called on all government departments to register their digital platforms and cyber-websites, in place, within the next coming 90-day.

The aim is to regulate workings of the digital government and improve the beneficiary’s experiment, guarantee the quality and maximize taking advantage from the existing assets and investment efficiency, along with realizing integration among the government departments.

Noteworthy, that the authority have announced, at the end of last June, the beginning of establishing new government digital platforms and cyber-websites, and applying for admission and registration, via the authority’s website.

The authority have announced, too, the start of activation of the government domains’ governance against suspending as many as 106 another inactive domains, as the first stage, especially those related to the forms; SA,.GOV.SA, ORG. SA,  EDU.SA).

The move shall gradually take place against violating or inactive domains, with a specific period for the departments to reply or to object, before, finally, shutting down their domains.

Regulating the government domains on the net, and reassurance of domains’ records as well as protecting the rights of registered departments and interconnecting them with other government websites, is the ultimate goal behind the move.

That would make it easier for the digital government workings and facilitation of procedures and easy access to related issues regulations.
