49 Advancers vs 66 Decliners as 4mln Shares Traded for $147 mln

The Saudi stock exchange index rose 12.1 points during the auction period on Sunday, September 26, 2021, and closed at 11,352.86 points, compared to 11,340.78 points before the auction.

During the trading period, 4 million shares were traded, at a closing price of SR146.9 million through 5772 deals.

It resulted in a boost in the stock prices of 49 corporations. Chemicals, Saudi Electricity, and Fitaihi each received 0.6%.0.5% for Musk, BCI, French, exports, and textiles.

During the bidding period, shares of 66 other companies fell.

It was issued by the National Education Department, at a rate of 0.8%. 0.7% for Al Hokair and Mobily. an additional 0.6% for donations, sponsorship, and petrochemicals.

It is stated that the closing auction is used to calculate the market’s closing price.

The closing price is determined by using (auction mechanism) that considers supply and demand, during the closing auction period, in order to arrive, at a fair price.

During the 10-minute closing auction, the equilibrium price is calculated.

The closing auction starts after the end of the continuous trading session (the market is open) at 3:00 pm and ends at 3:10 pm.

On a daily basis, the closing price is fixed when orders are processed at 3:10 pm + a maximum of 30 seconds.

Only regular deals are used in calculating the closing price, which is the deal price for shares worth more than SR15,000.

In the absence of a typical deal, the closing price is determined using the price of the most recent continuous trading deal.

If no deals are made during the continuous trading, the closing price is determined by using the previous day’s closing price.

Market orders are listed in the order book as Best Bid/Best/Bid during the closing auction period and with no price during the auction period.

The trading session on the closing price is an additional session, following the closing auction, in which only the closing price determined by the closing auction, can be exchanged and it runs from 3:10 pm to 3:20 pm.
