From inception to the first half of this year, 3 companies have achieved consecutive losses, According to “Maaal” added.
The Saudi Fish Company (Al-Asmak) made consecutive losses for 18 consecutive years, and Naseej International Trading Company made losses for seven consecutive years.
Three companies made losses for six consecutive years – Wafrah, Takween and SIDC, while the former made losses in the first half of the current year, both Takween and SIDC made profits in that period.
Seven companies incurred losses for five consecutive years, and the Red Sea International Company incurred losses for four consecutive years and in the first half of 2021 as well.
10 companies incurred losses for three consecutive years, and in the first half of this year, with the exception of Zamil Industrial Company, which turned profitable in the first half of 2021, with profits of SR17.10 million, compared to a loss of SR83.25 million in the corresponding period.
The Saudi Fish Company (Al-Asmak) has suffered losses for 18 consecutive years since 2003.
With an only one annual profit of SR2.93 million, in 2002, that has been announced, since its listing, in April 2001.
