As much as 100 thousand Saudi female employees have registered in the program to support women “Wusool” that make it easier to transport them to their respective private sector workplaces, since the program was launched, in November 2017, the Human Resources Development Fund “Hadaf” revealed.
Increase in the number of female employees came due to the improvement in the mechanism and requirements of the program, with the aim of benefiting the largest number of applicants, and facilitating the registration procedures, in light of the Fund’s support to empower Saudi women employed, in the private sector, the fund pointed out.
The launch of “Wusool” program falls in line with the directives of the wise leadership, in empowering Saudi women, remarkably in the labor market (One of the initiatives of the National Transformation Program) aims to support their job stability and increase their participation, in the labor market, in order to achieve the Kingdom’s vision 2030.
Fulfilling its promise to introduce new improvements to the program, Hadaf has raised the ceiling of financial support for women beneficiaries to SR1, 100 instead of SR800 per month.
According to the new mechanism of the program, registered female who meet the conditions are able to benefit from the support, at a discount of 80% of the cost of each trip, after raising the upper limit to SR1, 100 per month, for female beneficiaries, with a monthly wage of SR6, 000 or less.
And with a maximum limit of SR800 per month for female beneficiaries, whose monthly wages range from SR6, 001 to SR8000, and the period of benefit from the program was extended to 24-month, instead of 12-month.
In order to ensure the safety of the beneficiaries of “Wusool” program and to ensure quality and safety in transportation, the service is provided by companies licensed by the Ministry of Transport.
Wusool program covers 13 regions: Riyadh, Makkah, Eastern Province, Madinah, Tabuk, Asir, Qassim, Hail, Jazan, Northern Borders, Najran, Al Jawf and Al Baha.
It is noteworthy that the program to support the transportation of working women “Wusool” aims to find solutions to reduce the burden of transportation costs for Saudi women, working in the private sector.
And to improve and develop the environment for women’s transportation to and from the workplace, by ensuring a safe and high quality transportation service for working women.
“Wusool” is functioning also, in partnership with private taxi routing companies, through licensed smart applications.
