British businessman and self-made millionaire Mark Tilbury has warned against some bad financial habits and behaviors, describing them as the fastest way to become poor. He urged people to take control of their finances and not pay too much attention to what others say.
According to CNN, the British businessman said in a post on his X social media account (formerly Twitter) “Here’s the fastest way to become poor: First, be afraid of taking risks and stay in your comfort zone,” adding, “Second, watch a lot of Netflix in your spare time, and don’t even think about starting a side business.”
Tilbury continued, “Third, buy a lot of expensive clothes and things with a credit card to impress your friends. Fourth, blame the rich for all your problems instead of learning how money works.”
Tilbury explained, “A millionaire won’t blame you for starting your own business, an athlete won’t blame you for exercising, and a successful person won’t blame you for your failures.” “An artist won’t blame you for your creativity, a confident person won’t blame you for your growth, and an investor won’t blame you for learning about money,” Tilbury said, emphasizing, “People who aren’t making progress always have something to say.”
The British businessman urged people to increase their financial awareness and learn how to make money in different ways so they can build wealth and achieve financial freedom.
The self-made millionaire emphasized the need not to rely on a single source of income, noting that having multiple sources of income is vital for building wealth and achieving financial stability.
