NASA: 20% of Employees to Leave as Part of Restructuring Plan

NASA announced on Saturday that approximately 20% of its employees will leave their positions as part of a plan to restructure the agency and enhance operational efficiency.

According to Reuters, a NASA spokesperson said that approximately 3,870 employees are expected to leave the agency, noting that this number could change in the coming days and weeks. The remaining employees will be approximately 14,000.

NASA began its first wave of layoffs in March, including its chief scientist, as part of the severe federal budget cuts sought by President Donald Trump.
