European stocks saw mixed performance during today’s session, as investors assessed a range of mixed earnings results, while the market awaited developments regarding a potential trade agreement between the US and the European Union.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index was stable at 547.11 points, while the German DAX index was steady at 24,272.66 points. The UK’s FTSE 100 index rose 0.12% to 9,003.81 points, while the French CAC index fell 0.2% to 7,804.07 points.
Ryanair shares rose 5.8%, making it one of the biggest gainers in the STOXX 600 index, after Europe’s largest low-cost airline reported a doubling of its net profit during the second quarter (April-June) of the year.
