The National Competitiveness Center (NCC) Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has put forward 21 projects related to economic and development affairs. In cooperation with 14 government bodies, the NCC invites the general public, government entities, and the private sector to express their views and feedback on projects prior to their approval.
Key projects presented on the platform include a project titled ‘Municipal Violations for the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu,’ developed by the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu. The project will develop a list of fines and penalties for municipal violations of the commission. The public can provide feedback on this project until July 8, 2025.
The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture is seeking public feedback on a new regulatory framework titled ‘Updated Guide to Controls and Requirements for Granting Agricultural Labor Endorsement,’ which enables beneficiaries, including service providers and agricultural practitioners, to obtain the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture’s endorsement to secure the necessary workforce. Public consultation on this project will remain open until July 9, 2025.
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing is inviting public feedback on a new project titled ‘Municipal Requirements for a Sidewalk Occupancy Permit.’ The project aims to ensure smooth traffic flow on public sidewalks and avoid obstructing pedestrian movement, enhancing the urban landscape, and reducing visual distortion. Feedback on this project will be accepted until July 10, 2025.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development is seeking public feedback on a new project titled ‘Procedural Guide for Adapting Vocational Training Programs for Persons with Disabilities.’ The project aims to clarify the accreditation criteria for vocational training programs designed for people with disabilities. Public consultation on this project will conclude on July 17, 2025.
The Insurance Authority is inviting public feedback on a new project titled ‘Insurance Law.’ The project aims to develop the insurance sector in the Kingdom by enhancing stability, protecting rights, regulating competition, supporting innovation, and enabling localization. Public consultation on this project will conclude on July 22, 2025.
The introduction of draft regulations, by-laws, and similar projects through the Istitlaa platform provides transparency in the legislative environment. Istitlaa fosters a culture of public participation by enabling citizens, government agencies, and the private sector to contribute their insights and feedback on proposed regulations related to the business environment.
