Advanced Petrochemical CEO Fahad Al-Matrafi resigns; Mamdouh Al-Amri named successor

Advanced Petrochemical Co. announced on Monday the resignation of its President and CEO, Fahad bin Salem Al-Matrafi, effective July 31, 2025.

Al-Matrafi will remain as an advisor to the board until August 31. He has spent 17 years at the company, including six as CEO.

The company named Mamdouh bin Habis Al-Amri as the new President and CEO, effective August 1. Al-Matrafi played a key role in the development of the Advanced Polyolefins Industry complex and held leadership roles in operations, administration, and EHS functions, the statement said.
