The Saudi delegation’s participation in the 2025 BIO International Convention began Monday through a national pavilion led by the Ministry of Health. The pavilion features more than 25 government, private, and research entities that support the goals of the National Biotechnology Strategy launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The delegation is headed by Deputy Minister of Health for Planning and Development Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Rumaih, as part of the health system’s broader efforts to strengthen international cooperation and position the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a leading regional hub for biotechnology.
The pavilion highlights key national initiatives in biotechnology and scientific research, alongside investment opportunities and advanced research capabilities—underscoring the Kingdom’s commitment to health innovation and fostering investment in clinical research and biotech.
This participation aligns with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program under Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to build a vibrant society, a thriving economy, and a sustainable, healthy future.
The BIO International Convention is the world’s largest event dedicated to biotechnology. This year’s edition is being held in Boston from June 16 to 19, with broad participation from global health institutions, research centers, and companies.
The convention serves as a global platform for knowledge exchange and for showcasing innovations and partnerships in the biotechnology sector.
