Volvo sales decline 12% in May
Volvo Cars, majority-owned by China’s Geely Group, announced that it sold 59,822 vehicles in May, a 12% decrease compared to the same period last year.
The company explained in a statement that sales of fully electric vehicles fell by 27%, representing only 21% of total monthly sales.
Sales of all types of electric vehicles, including plug-in hybrids, also declined by 20%, representing 44% of total sales.
