European markets opened higher as Trump’s 50% steel tariffs took effect.
The European STOXX 600 Index rose 0.26% to 549.86 points, and the German DAX Index rose 0.61% to 24,239.42 points.
The British FTSE 100 Index was unchanged at 8,783.19 points, and the French CAC 40 Index jumped 0.2% to 7,783.95 points.
