Trump signs executive orders to boost nuclear power in America

US President Donald Trump signed a series of executive orders on Friday to boost nuclear power in the United States, including removing regulatory measures related to a still-controversial technology.

“Today we are signing massive executive orders that will make us the real powerhouse in this industry,” Trump told reporters as he signed the four orders in the Oval Office.

Energy Secretary Chris Wright said the race to develop the electricity sources and data centers needed for artificial intelligence is “Manhattan Project 2,” referring to the massive World War II US program to develop atomic bombs.
