The US dollar continued its decline against major currencies to a two-week low, amid increasing pressure in global currency markets.
The dollar fell to 143.27 yen in early trading in Asia, its weakest level since May 7.
The South Korean currency jumped to its highest level since November 4, at 1368.90 against the dollar. The euro was last trading at $1.1330, up 0.4%, marking its third consecutive session of gains.
The British pound was also steady at $1.3426, while the Swiss franc rose slightly, by 0.1%, to 0.8245 against the dollar.
