NVIDIA Announces New Technology That Puts It at the Forefront of AI Development

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced a series of announcements and unveiled new products aimed at strengthening the company’s position in the field of artificial intelligence and computing development.

Among the most notable of these announcements was the new NVLink Fusion program, which allows customers and partners to use non-NVIDIA CPUs and GPUs with NVIDIA products and the NVLink program.

Until now, NVLink has been limited to NVIDIA chips. It is a technology developed by the tech giant to connect and exchange data between graphics processing units (GPUs) and central processing units (CPUs).

“The NVLink integration aims to build a semi-custom AI infrastructure, not just semi-custom chips,” Huang said at Computex 2025 in Taiwan, Asia’s largest electronics conference.

According to Huang, NVLink Fusion enables AI infrastructures to integrate NVIDIA processors with various CPUs and application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs). “In any case, you will benefit from using NV Link’s infrastructure and ecosystem.”
