Trump announces major trade deal with UK

US President Donald Trump said the agreement with the UK is “comprehensive and complete.” Britain is set to sign a trade agreement with the United States, becoming the first country to conclude such a deal after the world’s largest economy announced strict reciprocal tariffs on allies and adversaries alike in April.

In a post on Truth Social, US President Donald Trump said today: “The agreement with the UK is comprehensive and complete and will strengthen the relationship between our two countries for many years to come.”

He added: “Given our shared history and mutual loyalty, we are honored that the UK will be the first with whom we announce an agreement. Many other deals, which are in advanced stages of negotiation, will soon follow!”
