Uber to Launch Self-Driving Cars by End of 2025

Uber Technologies Inc. said Thursday it will partner with self-driving technology startup MyMobility to deploy thousands of self-driving vehicles on its car-sharing platform across U.S. cities, starting with Arlington, Texas, by late 2025.

This adds to Uber’s growing list of partners in the self-driving taxi market, as it competes with Lyft and electric car manufacturer Tesla in the robotaxi market.

Tesla unveiled its CyberCab robotaxi concept in October, with production slated to begin in 2026, and service is expected to launch in Austin, Texas, this year.
