SAMI Advanced Electronics Company (SAMI-AEC), a subsidiary of SAMI – a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, proudly sponsored the Information and Communications Technology Forum for Land Forces, hosted by the Ministry of Defense at the Signal Corps Institute in Taif.
According to a news release issued by SAMI, the forum celebrated the achievements of the Royal Saudi Land Forces (RSLF) in the fields of information and communications technology (ICT) and digital transformation. It also served as a key platform to enhance collaboration among defense partners, technology specialists, and key stakeholders across the Kingdom.
Held from April 22 to 24, the three-day event featured an exhibition in which SAMI-AEC showcased a range of its advanced systems and solutions, including innovations in artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, digital command-and-control systems, and software-defined radio technologies. These offerings underscore SAMI-AEC’s role as a regional leader in defense electronics and a pioneer in leveraging AI for national security applications.
The forum was held under the patronage of Land Forces Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Fahd bin Saud Al-Johani and supervised by Land Forces Information and Communications Technology Authority Chairman Major General Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Orainey. It reinforced SAMI-AEC’s longstanding commitment to supporting RSLF’s strategic goals. The company’s demonstrated capabilities reflect its contribution to the Kingdom’s defense modernization and digital transformation agenda.
A concurrent exhibition was also held, featuring more than 17 pavilions showcasing the authority’s achievements and its advancements in the latest systems in telecommunications, software, and cybersecurity in information technology. The event included lectures, workshops, and seminars delivered by experts, and witnessed a large attendance from members of the Ministry of Defense—both military and civilian—as well as participants from the Ministry of National Guard and the Ministry of Interior, both in person and remotely via the Land Forces network.
“We are proud to support the Royal Saudi Land Forces with next-generation technologies that enhance mission effectiveness and operational resilience,” SAMI-AEC president and chief executive Eng. Ziad Al-Musallam remarked on the occasion. “Communication and information technologies are the backbone of modern defense, and events like this forum are instrumental in aligning emerging innovations with national defense priorities.”
As a trusted partner of the Ministry of Defense, SAMI-AEC continues to develop indigenous technologies that strengthen the capabilities of the Saudi Armed Forces.
