The Kingdom, Indonesia Sign MOU to Enhance Cooperation in the Mining and Minerals Sector

Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Jakarta on Thursday with Pahilil Lhadalia, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia. The MoU aims to enhance strategic cooperation and exchange expertise between the two countries in the mining and minerals sector.

The MoU aims to enhance cooperation between the two parties in the mining sector, including the exchange of expertise and knowledge transfer in the fields of mining, mineral production and processing, mining exploration, geological surveying, sustainable mining practices, modern mining technologies, mineral ore evaluation, and developing cooperation in the fields of mining industries and mineral resources.

The MoU was signed during the official visit of His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources to the Republic of Indonesia, during which he headed a high-level delegation from the industry and mining sector. The MoU aims to strengthen bilateral economic ties, attract quality investments to the Kingdom, and explore mutual investment opportunities in the mining sector and several industrial sectors, most notably food, pharmaceuticals, and automobiles.
