The dollar hit a three-week high against the yen today and edged higher against other major currencies.
The dollar index rose for the fourth straight session, settling at 104.3, and the dollar was last trading at 150.56 yen after surpassing 150 yen overnight.
It reached a three-week high of 150.92 yen during morning trading in Asia.
The dollar also hit its highest level since March 6 at $1.0781 against the euro, losing momentum from the single currency’s strong rally.
The pound fell to a two-week low of $1.2883 before settling at $1.2935.
The New Zealand dollar was close to a one-week low of $0.5725. Bitcoin hit a two-week high of $88,771 overnight, but fell 1.5% to around $86,497.
