German inflation fell to 2.6% in February after preliminary data was revised downward, Germany’s Federal Statistical Office said today.
The office explained that annual inflation—which is harmonized for comparison with other European Union countries—remained stable for the second consecutive month at 2.8% in February.
It added that the monthly inflation rate was also revised down slightly from 0.6% initially to 0.5% in the final.
The office did not explain the reason for the downward revision of the harmonized inflation data.
