China completes construction of world’s first floating oil production, storage and offloading ship

China has completed construction of the world’s first floating oil production, storage and offloading ship.

The ship is 333 meters long and 60 meters wide, with a daily production capacity of 120,000 barrels of crude oil, according to the Chinese news agency “Xinhua”.

The ship has a unique ability to capture carbon dioxide emissions from navigation and oil production operations, as well as use the heat energy from exhaust gases to generate electricity, achieving the dual goals of protecting the environment and saving energy at the same time.
