LEAP 2025: The Kingdom is a global destination for AI investments worth over $14.9 billion

The LEAP 2025 conference witnessed the announcement of huge investments exceeding $14.9 billion, and the list of investments announced included: Google Cloud’s investment in digital infrastructure in artificial intelligence by launching a global cluster in the Kingdom to meet regional and global demand.

A $1.5 billion investment was also announced by Groq to establish the largest global center for processing artificial intelligence data. Alan and Lenovo also announced a $2 billion investment to build a manufacturing and technology factory in Saudi Arabia.

Alam announced a scientific computer and the availability of the Alam model on the Qualcomm AI Cloud, while Alibaba Cloud launched the AI ​​Enablement Program in the Kingdom.

The conference also witnessed major investments in developing data infrastructure, and to enhance the Kingdom’s leadership as a global center for artificial intelligence, KKR, in partnership with GDH, announced an investment to develop data centers with capacities of up to 300 megawatts, and an investment of $140 million from SambaNova to create advanced infrastructure for artificial intelligence, and launch a large language model as a service to enhance the Kingdom’s position as a regional center for innovation and technology. In addition, Databricks invested $300 million in building integrated PaaS services to enable application developers to innovate. Meanwhile, qualitative investments in infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and startup rounds amounted to $10.9 billion.
