Saudi companies explore markets in Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda

A high-level delegation from the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce will begin a visit to Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda tomorrow, during which it will hold high-level meetings and discussions with senior officials in the governments of the three countries and the private sector to discuss investment opportunities and sign a number of important agreements and trade partnerships.

The delegation, headed by Hassan bin Mujib Al-Huwaizi, Chairman of the Federation, includes more than 25 business owners representing major Saudi investors from various economic sectors and representatives of some government agencies. This visit is in line with the Kingdom’s orientations towards strengthening its relations with the countries of the African continent, to reach more than 1.3 billion people in these promising markets.

The delegation will begin its visit program in Kenya by holding the Saudi-Kenyan Business Forum, and in Tanzania, the delegation will hold the Saudi-Tanzanian Business Forum, and will conclude by holding the Saudi-Rwandan Business Forum in Rwanda, and will also meet with a number of ministers and officials in those countries and representatives of companies.

These meetings highlight investment opportunities in the Kingdom, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda, the business environment and partnership opportunities between business sectors in various economic fields.

The Federation is counting on this visit to increase the modest volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom and these countries, which is a strong indicator of the existence of many potential investment opportunities that the visit will reveal.

It is worth noting that the Federation of Chambers is leading, through its series of foreign visits that recently included ten countries, efforts to open new markets and opportunities and increase the volume of trade and investment exchanges with countries of the world, in order to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
