The “Coffee Cooperative” in Jazan began exporting the first shipment of Saudi coffee grown in Al-Dayer farms to Belgium, Eastern Europe, today, Tuesday, coinciding with the Saudi International Coffee Exhibition 2025, as part of its plan to enhance the position of Saudi coffee in global markets.
Salman bin Ahmed Al-Maliki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Coffee Cooperative in Jazan, explained that this step comes as a culmination of the government efforts made to support coffee cultivation and improve its quality according to international standards, which contributed to achieving this unprecedented achievement, praising the generous support that coffee farmers in Jazan receive from the wise leadership, and the continuous interest and follow-up from the Emir of Jazan Region, his deputy, and the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture.
Al-Maliki pointed out that this shipment represents the beginning of a new phase in marketing Saudi coffee globally, with future plans to expand the scope of exports to include other international markets, stressing that the coffee grown in the Jazan Mountains is distinguished by its high quality and unique flavor, which has made it the focus of global markets, and that the Coffee Cooperative is playing its role in providing assistance to local farmers by providing them with the best agricultural practices, technical and marketing support to ensure high-quality production that meets the requirements of global markets. It is noteworthy that the Jazan region is home to the most famous coffee farms in the Kingdom, where more than 700,000 trees are planted, producing the finest types that are increasingly in demand in local and international markets, and the Jazan Coffee Cooperative continues its efforts to enhance the presence of Saudi coffee in global markets, amid increasing government support for the agricultural sector, which aims to diversify sources of income and enhance non-oil exports.
