Total credit granted by banks in Saudi Arabia to economic activities hit 2.93 trillion riyals by November-end

Bank credit granted by banks in Saudi Arabia according to economic activity by the end of November 2024 rose to 2.93 trillion riyals, and the share of (individual loans) constituted 46% with a total value of 1.35 trillion riyals.

According to the statistical bulletin for November 2024 issued by the Saudi Central Bank “SAMA”, (real estate activities) came in second with an amount of 327.9 billion riyals, followed by (wholesale and retail trade) with an amount of 201.5 billion riyals, then (manufacturing industries) with a value of 182.4 billion riyals, then (electricity, gas and water supplies) with 178.5 billion riyals.

According to the bulletin data, (other activities) came in sixth place with 176.2 billion riyals, and in seventh place (financial and insurance activities) with 131.2 billion riyals, and (construction) came in eighth place with 123.3 billion riyals, and in tenth place (transportation and storage) with 53 billion riyals, and in ninth place (mining and mines) with 50.6 billion riyals. It is noteworthy that bank credit granted according to economic activity rose in October 2024 to 2.88 trillion riyals, as the share of individual loans constituted 46.5% of the total credit granted according to economic activity with a value of 1.34 trillion riyals.

During September 2024, it rose to 2.85 trillion riyals, and the share of individual loans reached 46.3% to 1.32 trillion riyals.
