Officially .. “Lucid” joins “Made in Saudi Arabia” program to enhance the Kingdom’s leadership in E-car industry

Lucid, a company specialized in manufacturing electric cars, has officially joined the “Made in Saudi Arabia” program, which gives it the right to use the “Made in Saudi Arabia” logo on its products, as this logo is a symbol of quality, excellence and customer confidence, and reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening its position as a leading destination for innovative manufacturing.

Lucid is the first original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in the automotive sector to obtain this logo, an achievement that highlights its ability to produce electric cars with global standards by Saudi hands, and confirms its contribution to developing the automotive industry sector in the Kingdom.

Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, confirmed that Lucid’s joining the “Made in Saudi Arabia” program as the first car manufacturer to obtain the “Made in Saudi Arabia” logo reflects the strategic transformation witnessed by the Kingdom in building an integrated system for the electric car industry, in line with the goals of the National Industrial Strategy, which focuses on empowering promising sectors and attracting qualitative investments in advanced industries.

He explained that the Kingdom has today become a pivotal destination for manufacturing electric cars, supported by modern infrastructure, incentive policies, and qualified human resources, considering that the presence of large companies in the Saudi market, such as Lucid, enhances the Kingdom’s role as a global center for future industries, which contributes to increasing local content, non-oil exports, localizing industry, and transferring knowledge.

Al-Kharif pointed out that the industry and mineral wealth system is committed to developing an investment environment that supports leading companies and enables them to contribute to achieving industrial transformation and innovation, which represents the essence of the Kingdom’s orientations towards a sustainable future based on modern technologies.
