Gold prices rose on Tuesday, supported by a weaker dollar, as traders anticipated whether U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s tariff plans would be less severe than expected.
Spot gold rose 0.4% to $2,644.79 per ounce.
U.S. gold futures rose 0.3% to $2,655.00.
In other precious metals, spot silver rose 0.6% to $30.12 per ounce, platinum rose 0.6% to $938.55, and palladium rose 0.4% to $924.52.
