Modern Mills Announces SAR 150 Million Animal Feed Plant Construction

Modern Mills Co. announced on Tuesday the approval of the Board of Directors for the project to establish an Animal Feed plant in western region at the Company’s district in Jumum Governorate with a production capacity of 422kMT/year.

The expected cost of the project is estimated at about 150 million riyals, as the project will be financed from banking facilities compatible with Islamic Sharia, the Company’s available cash liquidity and other financing programmes.

The Company expects the project to start in the fourth quarter of 2026 after obtaining regulatory approvals, and it expects to complete construction work for the project in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The Company explained that the financial impact of the project is expected to be reflected in its financial results in the fourth quarter of 2026.

According to the statement published on “Tadawul”, the project’s trial production and commercial production are expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2026, and the project’s trial production period will last for approximately one month.

The company confirmed that this project was launched in line with its strategy aimed at diversifying its products and achieving leadership and innovation in the field of animal feed industry and meeting the growing demand in the western region, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 for food security.
