Japan’s Nikkei closes higher
Japan’s Nikkei rose on Tuesday, helped by Wall Street’s late-week rally, but gains were capped by profit-taking in major semiconductor stocks.
After swinging between gains and losses throughout the session, the Nikkei closed up 0.2% at 39,160.5, while the broader Topix index rose 0.3% to 2,734.56.
