FAO: Global food prices hit 19-month high in November

The United Nations food price index rose in November to its highest level since April 2023, driven by higher vegetable oil prices, data showed today.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) price index, which tracks the world’s most traded food commodities, averaged 127.5 points in November, up from 126.9 points in October.
