6 Saudi banks issue dollar- and riyal-denominated bonds and sukuk

A survey conducted by (Maaal) revealed that 6 Saudi banks listed on the Saudi financial market have announced so far this year the completion of the offering and issuance of dollar- and riyal-denominated and sustainable bonds and sukuk.

The list of Saudi banks that announced the completion of the offering and issuance included: Al-Ahli Bank, Saudi Investment Bank, Riyad Bank, Saudi Fransi Bank, Al Rajhi Bank, and Alinma Bank.

According to the survey, Al-Ahli Bank announced last November the completion of the offering of additional Tier 1 sukuk denominated in Saudi riyals, explaining that the value of the sukuk amounted to 6 billion riyals, while the nominal value of each sukuk amounted to one million riyals.

The Saudi Investment Bank also announced during the same period the completion of the offering of additional Tier 1 capital sukuk, sustainable and denominated in dollars, under its program to issue additional Tier 1 capital sukuk, as the value of the offering amounted to 750 million dollars, and the nominal value of the bond was 200 thousand dollars.
