Methanol Chemicals Company (Chemanol) announced that the General Authority for Foreign Trade has imposed anti-dumping duties on concrete admixture imports from China and Russia, marking a significant move to support local industry.
Chemanol, the largest producer of concrete admixtures in Saudi Arabia with an annual production capacity of approximately 163,000 tons, emphasized that the decision aligns with international trade regulations and aims to create a fair competitive environment for the local market.
The company expects the move to positively impact its financial performance by curbing unfair competition, though it will monitor market dynamics to fully assess the extent of the impact. Chemanol assured shareholders that updates will be announced as they become available.
