Japanese stocks close lower as yen gains
Japanese stocks fell at the close of trading on Wednesday, as the yen gained.
The Tokyo Stock Exchange reported that the Nikkei 225 index, which includes 225 issues, ended the session today, down 0.80%, or 307.03 points, to reach the index 38,134.97 points, while the broader Topix index fell 0.90%, or 24.21 points, to close at 2,665.34 points.
