Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Economy Faisal Al-Ibrahim reported a 6% growth in non-oil activities over the past three years, underscoring efforts to diversify the economy and promote private sector involvement.
“Without tourism, the current economic achievements would not have been possible,” Al-Ibrahim said during a forum on economic transformation.
He noted that non-oil activities now account for half of Saudi Arabia’s economy. “We aim for high-quality growth—growth driven by sustainable non-oil sectors,” he added, reaffirming that Vision 2030 seeks to unlock citizens’ potential and reduce reliance on oil.
