Japanese stocks end losing streak, close higher
Japan’s Nikkei index ended a three-session losing streak on Friday, closing up 0.28% to 38,642.91, but was down 2.4% for the week.
It rose to a session high of 39,101.64 before paring gains on profit-taking.
The broader Topix index closed up 0.39% to 2,711.64, but posted a weekly loss of 1.49%.
