Japan’s Nikkei ended Thursday’s trading lower on profit-taking after the Bank of Japan (BOJ) decided to keep interest rates unchanged.
The Nikkei fell 0.5% to close at 39,081.25. The index tracked a decline in U.S. stocks overnight and also opened 0.25% lower.
Japan’s Nikkei fell more than 1% after the Bank of Japan announced its latest monetary policy decision. The broader Topix index fell 0.3% to 2,695.51.
