Saudi Airlines transports 9 million passengers, up 10% during Q3

Saudi Airlines achieved growth in its performance rate according to the operational performance report for the third quarter of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, as it transported more than 9 million passengers, up 10%, while more than 49.5 thousand flights were operated, up 9%, and aircraft flew during the same period at a rate of more than 146.7 thousand flight hours, with a general rate of punctuality of flight schedules of 87.8%.

Thus, the total number of passengers transported by “Saudi” since the beginning of 2024 until September is more than 25.3 million passengers on 143.8 thousand flights. In detail, the share of the international sector of passengers transported exceeded 5 million passengers, an increase of 9%, with flights exceeding 21.9 thousand flights, an increase of 5%, while flight hours recorded more than 102.4 thousand hours. As for domestically, more than 4 million guests were transported, an increase of 12%, while more than 27.5 thousand domestic flights were operated, an increase of 13%, with flight hours exceeding 44.2 thousand hours, as domestic flights recorded a distinguished discipline in flight schedules of 91.5%. Eng. Ibrahim bin Abdulrahman Al-Omar, General Manager of the Saudia Group, explained that the most prominent feature of the aviation industry is the presence of human competencies and advanced systems that ensure the sustainability of operational excellence, as the new strategy pays attention to the smallest details of flights, whether in terms of security and safety aspects, as well as providing the appropriate seat capacity that meets the increasing demand for air travel, in addition to innovative and qualitative services that enrich the travel experience of our valued guests. With the addition of 131 new aircraft to the Saudia fleet in the coming years, more flights and seat capacity will be added to its current destinations, which number more than 100 destinations in four continents around the world, in addition to operating to new international destinations as part of its keenness to continue its strategy aimed at contributing to connecting the world to the Kingdom and continuing to activate its role in achieving many of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
