Qiddiya Investment Company Launches Landmark ‘Playmakers Training Programmes’ to Upskill and Empower the Next Generation of Saudi Talent

Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) announced today the launch of its landmark ‘Playmakers Training Programmes’ designed to expand access to job opportunities by upskilling Saudi citizens across Qiddiya’s key sectors. To deliver on this commitment, Qiddiya has partnered with world-class training providers that will ensure participants receive top-tier education and practical skills training. The first set of programmes launched focuses on the entertainment and hospitality sectors, with plans to expand the offering into sports, culture, and other sectors over time. These programmes are an important driver of Qiddiya’s commitment to contributing to Vision 2030 goals realization, with a strong focus on fostering employment and creating new job opportunities for Saudis. Qiddiya anticipates to create 325,000 jobs in Qiddiya City and an additional 22,000 jobs across the Kingdom in Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), offering ample opportunities to thrive in these dynamic sectors.

According to the press release, Qiddiya has signed MoUs with top global and local entertainment and hospitality training partners and is in the process of engaging additional partners to support the next phase of its training programmes. Moreover, Qiddiya is working closely with government and non-profit organizations that share the same ambitious goals to upskill and train the Kingdom’s future talent.

The release added that the ‘Playmakers Training Programmes’ will offer a broad range of training offerings catering to all educational backgrounds and career aspirations. From short-term courses to vocational training and higher education degrees, the programmes are designed to prepare participants for employment across the offerings of Qiddiya City and SEVEN such as Six Flags, Aquarabia, Speed Park Track, and many more. Whether a recent high school graduate or a professional looking to reskill and transition to a new career path, the programmes provide a clear pathway to success within Qiddiya’s ecosystem.

To support these programmes, Qiddiya has also inaugurated an online platform providing comprehensive information about all available training programmes. Interested candidates can browse through the catalogue available on the platform and submit their applications for their programme of choice.
