The forum will be attended by several ministers, industrial transformation leaders from around the world, as well as experts, thinkers, investors, and researchers who will be engaged in discussions on improving innovative industrial solutions and policies that support industrial development at both regional and global levels.
The forum, being held for the first time in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, serves as a leading international platform to showcase the best global practices in addressing the challenges limiting industrial development and sustainability, and it also provides an opportunity to exchange ideas, knowledge, and international expertise. The forum will highlight the Kingdom’s achievements in the industrial sector through an accompanying exhibition, where initiatives and efforts to localize promising industries will be showcased.
The forum will focus on sustainable industrial policy and digital technologies in manufacturing, including artificial intelligence (AI), energy sector transformation, and global supply chains, with a focus on enhancing their resilience to adapt to changing circumstances.
A key topic that will be discussed during the forum is the compatibility of international governance with the United Nations Industrial Development Agenda for 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals. It will also focus on making a qualitative leap in various production stages by leveraging Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies and enhancing integration between the manufacturing and service sectors.
The forum will address challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic in global supply chains, aiming to enhance their resilience and diversification to ensure rapid recovery from crises. The forum will feature various activities, such as roundtable discussions, workshops, and bilateral meetings, with the goal of fostering cooperation and finding innovative and sustainable solutions in the industrial sector.
