The Ministry of Commerce issued its quarterly summary bulletin for the business sector for the third quarter of 2024, including an overview of the performance of the business sector and its developments in the Kingdom.
The Ministry explained that the total issued records in the third quarter of this year increased by 62% compared to the same quarter last year, as 135,000 commercial records were issued during the past three months; bringing the total commercial records to more than 1.5 commercial records in all regions of the Kingdom.
The quarterly bulletin addressed the issuance of five systems that enhance confidence in the commercial environment, namely: the Commercial Register System, the Trade Names System, the Product Safety System, the Specifications and Quality System, and the Measurement and Calibration System.
The bulletin highlighted the development in promising sectors, and highlighted the growth of commercial records in the activities of: financial technology, artificial intelligence, electronic games, financial activities and insurance, education in the field of sports and entertainment, sports clubs, organizing tourist trips, relaxation centers, market research and opinion polls, and other promising activities in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. It also addressed the commercial records of e-commerce, which represents an important tributary to the national economy, as it grew by 9.4%, compared to the same quarter of last year, with a total of 39,769 commercial records.
