Saudi Arabia begins natural gas injection and re-production operations

Saudi Ministry of Energy announced that the Kingdom has begun natural gas injection and re-production operations by injecting processed gas into the ground.

It explained that the first project will be in the Hawiyah reservoir in Unaizah, and re-production will be in the main gas network at a rate of two billion standard cubic feet per day.

The ministry indicated that the project will contribute to managing seasonal changes in demand, achieving the goals of the liquid fuel displacement program, and reducing carbon emissions.
