Japan’s Nikkei share average fell on Tuesday as investor sentiment waned on a stronger yen.
The Nikkei closed down 0.04 percent at 38,686.31 points, paring gains made earlier in the session as the yen gained about 0.5 percent against the dollar, rebounding from a two-week low hit during the trading session.
The broader Topix index rose 0.64 percent.
Cautious sentiment prevails ahead of a slew of U.S. data this week.
