ACWA Power Company announced on Sunday that the AlRass1 Solar Photovoltaic Project, located in Saudi Arabia, is now online and has started power generation. The company received notice from the project company on August 15, 2024, confirming the achievement of commercial operation for the full 700 MW plant, following the issuance of the commercial operation certificate from the Offtaker.

ACWA Power holds a 40.1% stake in the AlRass Renewable Energy Company, which oversees the project. The company expects the financial impact of the project to be reflected from the second half of 2024 onwards.
