Al Qadsiah FC is entering a new era following its acquisition by Saudi Aramco, according to Fahad Al-Saiary, Executive Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at the club. He outlined the rollout of the club’s new identity across four developmental stages, encompassing employee offices, sports facilities, and youth group amenities, all now featuring the updated branding.
In an exclusive interview with Maaal, Al-Saiary disclosed that Al Qadsiah is set to significantly enhance the scale and quality of its player acquisitions for the upcoming season. These efforts, backed by long-term investment plans, are designed to position the club as a strong competitor in the Saudi transfer market and ensure sustainable growth.
Al-Saiary noted that Al Qadsiah is among the first clubs in the Saudi sports sector to be owned by a major corporation. The acquisition has sparked improvements across the club’s facilities, rolled out in four stages, which include updates to offices, sports facilities, and youth amenities under the new club identity.
The club has rapidly attracted international and local talent across various sports, securing over 200 medals in multiple disciplines. Notably, Al Qadsiah has also established a women’s football team.
In addition to its sporting achievements, the club has played a prominent role in community events, such as the “Year of the Camel” celebration on the first day of 2024, and has actively participated in key cultural and religious occasions like Founding Day and Ramadan. These activities have further strengthened the bond between the people of Al-Khobar and their historic club.
Addressing the club’s future management, Al-Saiary confirmed that Al Qadsiah’s Board of Directors, led by Badr Al-Ruzaiza, will retain full administrative independence, managing all operational decisions. The club’s organizational structure will continue to oversee all technical and administrative matters.
Al-Saiary emphasized that Saudi Aramco’s ownership supports the club’s financial deals through long-term investment strategies aimed at sustainable growth. The company remains committed to success both on and off the field, including increasing the club’s investment revenues and leveraging financial support from the Ministry of Sports. Al Qadsiah is poised to become a formidable contender in the Saudi transfer market with high-caliber player acquisitions.
Regarding speculation about relocating to Dhahran, Al-Saiary confirmed that the club will remain in Al-Khobar, honoring its roots and strong connection to the city.
Finally, Al-Saiary addressed rumors of a potential name change to reflect Saudi Aramco’s ownership, asserting that Al Qadsiah’s rich history and legacy make a name change unlikely. The club’s name, celebrated by its fans throughout history, will remain unchanged.
