Data from the Saudi Central Bank “SAMA” revealed that the total credit card loans in the Kingdom increased during the second quarter of 2024 by 11% to 30 billion riyals, compared to the first quarter, which was at 27 billion riyals.
When comparing credit loans in the second quarter of this year with loans recorded in the same quarter of 2023, it becomes clear that they increased by 20.5%, as they amounted to 24.9 billion riyals.
It is noteworthy that credit card loans during the past year recorded a growth to 27.07 billion riyals, compared to 2022, which was at 23.07 billion riyals.
