This will be the first edition of the FIFA World Cup, featuring 48 teams and being organised in a single country.

Saudi Vision 2030 has played a crucial role in unifying the Kingdom’s efforts towards growth and progress. The Kingdom’s progressive approach aims to pave the way for a bright future for football both locally and internationally.

Saudi Arabia intends to host the 2034 World Cup and submit its first official bid after the national team participated in six previous editions.

Amid the Kingdom’s exceptional transformation and the Saudi people’s passion for football, the bid aims to develop the game and enhance its popularity both domestically and globally.

The official website identified several factors supporting the Kingdom’s bid: becoming a new global centre for sports, advancements in football development, a young and vibrant society, a history of hosting major international football events, exceptional fan experiences, and a strategic location.

On Monday, Saudi Arabia officially submitted its bid to host the FIFA World Cup 2034 in Paris during a ceremony held by the International Federation of Association Football.

The bid was submitted by an official delegation led by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and Yasser Al-Misehal, President of the Saudi Football Federation. They were accompanied by two children from the Saudi Football Federation’s regional training centres.
