China acquires 15% of the Kingdom’s merchandise exports in May

Data issued by the General Authority for Statistics showed that China is the Kingdom’s main partner in merchandise trade, which represented 15.2% of total exports in May 2024.

It came in second place (South Korea) with 9.8% of total exports, then India with 7.7% of total exports.

The UAE, Japan, Bahrain, America, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Malta are also among the 10 most important countries to which exports were made, as the Kingdom’s total exports to them amounted to 66.8% of total exports.

According to the data, China also ranked first for the Kingdom’s imports, representing 25% of total imports in May 2024, and America ranked second with 9.3% of total imports, and the UAE came in third with 6.5%, and India, Germany, Egypt, and Italy are considered Switzerland, Japan, and the United Kingdom are among the 10 most important countries from which imports were made, as the value of imports reached 66.3% of total imports.

It is noteworthy that China topped the list as the main destination for the Kingdom’s exports during April 2024, accounting for 16.6% of the total, and 22.4% of the total imports.
