China’s inflation rate rose 0.2% in June

China’s consumer price index increased for the fifth month in a row last June, amid continued growth in consumer confidence in stimulating domestic demand.

The National Bureau of Statistics said that China’s consumer price index, a key measure of inflation, rose by 0.2% on an annual basis last month, a slight decrease from an increase of 0.3% last May, which was below expectations, remaining close to the zero level for the fifth month. respectively.

Dong Lijian, a statistician from the aforementioned authority, indicated that the supply in the consumer market is sufficient, while the price level maintained moderate growth.

On a monthly basis, the Consumer Price Index decreased by 0.2% last June due to seasonal factors, as the decline increased slightly compared to its counterpart last May of 0.1%.
