Official data showed on Sunday that China’s foreign exchange reserves amounted to $3.2224 trillion by the end of June this year.
According to the data, China has the largest foreign exchange reserves in the world, while the size of China’s foreign exchange reserves increased by 0.9% compared to about 3.193 trillion US dollars at the end of June 2023.
China’s economy grew at a faster-than-expected pace of 5.3% year-on-year in the first quarter, but deflationary pressures still loom large and the protracted real estate crisis remains a major drag on growth.
